I got these to use for scuba diving and I must say that they work well and are good quality.The gate mechanism is smooth and doesn't catch or bind.The overall quality of the metal seems to be good and able to withstand salt water.The bottom rings rotate smoothly.What more can you ask of such a simple device?Bottom line: this seems to be a good, marine quality bolt snap. I'd get them again, if I have the need.
